Hocus Pocus is a French Hip Hop group formed in 1995. The 98 released its first album and now have five. His main influence is the American Jazz Rap-90 (Tribe Called Quest, Dilated People, Jay Dee, Jurassic 5, Pete Rock, etc..) And in this video we show a parody of the many clichés that the movement suffers recent years, unfortunately.
What is Hip Hop? Wonder, but not fixed in theory but in practice, attitudes and productions that people that is supposed to be within the movement.

It was the rapper Hip Hop Pantsula who will represent the entire movement. His involvement lasted about a minute and served to demonstrate once again the place the Hip Hop culture into the world.
Hip Hop Pantsula 97 began his career as a musician when he was still very young, in 2000 he recorded his first album, Introduction, which appeared as one of its features the rap mixing the native languages of South Africa.
His latest production is entitled Dumela (2009) and is a double CD which featured Nas collaboration which enabled him to win the MTV Africa Music Awards in the category Best Video for her song "Mpitse."

A few hours after the World Cup starts, taking advantage of the morning to write and listen to good music, I found this video of K'Naan performing the official anthem for the World Cup Coca Cola, acoustic and live.
K'Naan is Somali born and one of the most important African rappers, he met hip-hop when his father sent him records from New York (where he worked as a taxi driver) and soon discovered his love for this culture that taught him to do with other eyes what was happening in Africa in the early 80's. As you know, Dlirik has released the video of the World Blind, one of the best tracks of New Dawn, the last album they recorded.
When I spoke with ChinoPra few months ago told me they planned to do this production and is good to see their plans carried out. As I said before, the perseverance and commitment to the Hip Hop Delirik is something remarkable.
As for the track, indifference is a recurrent theme when you want to do this kind of songs, so we must seek more information to avoid repeating ideas that float in the air. I see many recurring ideas that detract from the World Blind creativity and impact.
As I talked with them, are working this year to release a new album next, I hope to see developments in DLirk show that new job.

The world is already so got to check out the Hip Hop made in South Africa and found very good material.
Until recently South Africa was still a British colony, so the South African music has always been influenced by European rhythms. The Hip Hop came to this country two decades ago but mainly through graffiti and brakedance, as it was very difficult to get U.S. coming music.
But as Apartheid ended, things changed and the young South Africans have turned to rap to express their experiences and complaints.
The European influence in the rhythms still stands, so notice the electronic music of the beats.
